Spooner Lake

Spooner Lake is a small alpine lake situated in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of Nevada, USA. The lake is located at an elevation of 7,100 feet and is surrounded by wooded hillsides and meadows. The lake is a popular destination for camping, hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. It is part of the Spooner Backcountry, which is managed by the Nevada State Parks system. The backcountry offers over 50 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, as well as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. The nearby Spooner Summit Trailhead provides access to the Tahoe Rim Trail, a 165-mile hiking trail that circles the Lake Tahoe Basin.
